ASEAN Members to Promote Single Destination

The ten member countries have agreed to a 10-year plan to promote the region as a single destination. Although all of the ASEAN countries will be marketed as a single destination, tourism to secondary destinations in the region will be pushed as well. The campaign is set to be formally launched in March.

King Kong Sequel Commences Filming in Vietnam

Filming for “Kong: Skull Island” began in Vietnam in February. The film crew is set to take advantage of the dramatic landscape and scenery in Son Doong Cave, Ha Long Bay and Ninh Binh in central and northern Vietnam. The film, set to be released in 2017, will be a spectacular way to highlight the sights of Vietnam.

Central Coast of Vietnam Launches Website

The Central Coast Vietnam Destination Marketing Organization has launched a new website highlighting the central coast, including Da Nang, Quang Nam and Hue. The new website also aims to draw attention to the region’s lesser-known attractions, including ecotourism sites and ethnic minorities. Initially launched in English, the website will also be translated into Chinese, Japanese and Korean in the near future.

New Product: Home-Hosted Meal in Hue

New Cave Expedition Available in Phong Nha-Ke Bang

A new excursion to a recently-discovered cave in Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park is now available to the public. Hang Va Cave was only discovered in 2012 and guests who explore it will be among some of the first people to see the beautiful formations carved out of the limestone by rushing mountain streams. It has been said by some that the stalactite and stalagmite formations are some of the most spectacular in the area.

Vidotour Greets the Year of the Monkey
